Chosen Hill admission changes consultation

Chosen Hill School is consulting on a change to its admission arrangements for entry into Year 7 from September 2022. In summary, the proposed changes are:

  1. To extend the priority catchment area in the admissions criteria, in order to give a wide range of school choice to additional children in the Gloucester area where there are increasing numbers of children requiring school places from the new housing developments around the school’s current catchment area, whilst avoiding disadvantaging those in the school’s existing catchment area.
  2. To change the priority order of siblings and put them before children from the catchment area, both zones.

The consultation started on the 7th December 2020 (ends 31st January 2021) and as part of the consultation the School will be holding a public consultation meeting on the 11th January, from 5.30pm to 6.00pm. Given the current COVID-19 situation, this will be a virtual event and details will be published on the school website nearer the date.
